Photography Privacy & Release Policy

1. Client gallery privacy

Private client galleries should be shared only through the intended delivery method and should not be described as secure until a production authentication/storage system is connected and tested.

2. Portfolio and marketing use

SuniDMI should obtain the permissions or releases appropriate to the assignment before using identifiable client images for portfolio, website, social-media, advertising or other promotional purposes. The exact release language should be part of the photography agreement or a separate signed release reviewed for the intended use.

3. Minors

For sessions involving minors, obtain authorization from a parent or legal guardian for the session and for any intended promotional use. Online collection of personal information from children under 13 can trigger COPPA requirements in certain circumstances, so the website should avoid collecting child information directly unless the required compliance process is in place.

4. Events and public settings

Event organizers should define attendee notice, access, photography expectations and any opt-out process appropriate to the event. SuniDMI should follow the client agreement and venue/event rules rather than assuming every captured image can be used for marketing.

5. Property photography

Property owners, agents or authorized clients should confirm that SuniDMI has permission to photograph the property and that sensitive personal items or identifying information are handled appropriately before publication.

6. Copyright and client usage rights

The photography agreement should clearly state who owns copyright, what usage license the client receives, whether commercial/editorial/social use is included, and any restrictions on editing, resale or transfer. Do not rely on this website policy as a substitute for the project contract.

7. Biometric / facial technologies

Ordinary photography and biometric identification are not the same thing, but if future software features analyze face geometry or otherwise create biometric identifiers, additional Texas biometric rules may be relevant. Obtain legal review before adding those features.

9. Retention and deletion
